Historical Research
The first part of the course begins with a theoretical introduction to the history of puppetry from ancient times to the present day, through photographs, films and live demonstrations, with a careful analysis of the various techniques used: string puppets, glove puppets, etc. The speaker Jlenia Biffi will provide participants with the results of her degree thesis in Anthropology, on Puppet Theatre in the first centuries of the Christian era.
02.
Training
Participants will have the opportunity to personally experience the manipulation of different types of puppets. They will be provided with the essential principles of the architecture of movement and the decomposition of gestures that allow the illusion of life in an inanimate object.
03.
Staging
The master class can, on request, also be aimed at the creation of a final collective or individual performance.

It is possible, if necessary, to conduct master classes online on sharing platforms such as Zoom, Meet or Teams.
